The Louis Bolduc House was built in the first town in Missouri, around 1792, by one of the wealthiest French Americans. On a visit to this vertical log house and surrounding gardens, you discover what life was like in 18th Ste. Genevieve. In addition to the unique architecture, the museum has a large collection of 18th century French colonial furnishings and artifacts.

Discover the story of the Shawnee and Delaware Indian tribes in eastern Missouri when you step into the Stone Cottage behind the Bolduc House. Don't miss the eastern Woodland Indian Village, with its Three Sisters Garden and in-ground pottery firing pit.

Walk through the flower gardens to the smaller home, built in 1820. One room is furnished as a living room from the 1830s; the other room is our Hands-On History Room, with activities for children and several exhibits.
