Big Oak Tree State Park

Majestic trees tower above the rich delta around the park, a National Natural Landmark. A boardwalk gives a close-up view of the swamp forest that once covered Missouri's Bootheel. A nature center, picnicking and a small lake are available. Park entry is free.
